They say that Television encourages violence, while I'm smashing his face in and we haven't got one.

Yes, that's right, THE Graham, he was talking to me on MSN today (it's been about a year and a half since he last came on MSN). I recently got an MSN add from him and knew he would come back soon, but I wasn't expecting to see him today, though. Here's how Graham and myself got on tonight:
NOTE: Do NOT think that I am being 100% here! I only said things like saying Goatse is a wonderful piece of art and other crap just to keep him talking to me and not go offline.

First of all, a note to everyone who reads this:
-Spammers who say "Fuck you" or whatever in everyone's news posts, you are welcome to say something here.
-TLDR'ers, go away now! This is a very long news post!!
-This news post is about how I was on the new year, my flash projects of 2008, my New Year's Resolution AND everything I look forward to this year. If you wish to just read a certain section, I've put the sections in numbers
1 - My time on the New Year
Happy new year to everyone who reads this news post! I hope you all had a great time celebrating the new year as much as I did. As usual for me and my family, we have a new year party held at our house, although the new year party this year wasn't as big as the last few years, which did disappoint me. However, I was glad that a friend of mine was able to attend the party. It would be great if my other friends could have been there as well, but maybe we'll think about something for New Year 2009 (LOL at planning so far ahead).
At the new year party, we (i.e. Me, my friend, my sister and her boyfriend) were talking about several things for the night. We also played on the WiiSport games and had lots of fun on that, although my friend didn't play on it too much. However, we had more fun playing on Mario Kart DS multiplayer, despite the limitation on tracks due to some players not owning the game cartridge. After that, we decided to watch the first episode of Futurama since it was the new year (SUICIDE BOOTHS ARE GOING TO BE MADE THIS YEAR!! 0__0) and then 2 episodes of Father Ted that's on Virgin Media's TV on-demand.
We were all up until 4AM, although me and my friend decided to stay up until 5AM just for myself to submit my new year flash. Speaking of my new year flash, I was on NG at 5AM just to make my attempt at being the first to submit a flash in 2008 EST and I succeeded on doing that, which made me proud. The same thing happened when I submitted Space Dragon 2007 last year.
2 - My flash projects in 2008
I have several flash projects for 2008, including:
-Special episode of Adolf Hitler: CAI493+D - The very first flash in the series made by ME and not Afro_Stud!
-The first episode of Bahamut: CAI493+D - My spinoff of the Adolf Hitler series that I wanted to work on back in August, but have never bothered to.
-An episode of Edgar N' Locke about heavy metal in 2008.
-Naruto Quiz - No, I don't like Naruto at all. You'll know why I wish to make this quiz if you've seen my other two quizzes.
-The continuation of the Universe Domination series - I've not made a single flash in this series since last July, so I should work on continuing this series again.
And then there's my 100th flash (NOTE: This is going by what's here and NOT HERE), which I am sure to get this year. I am only 28 flashes away from my goal and I think I'll make my goal sometime in Spring, unless laziness gets in my way.
3 - My New Year's Resolution
Usually I wouldn't bother with one because I end up failing it (e.g. I easily failed my last year's one which was to be less lazier), but this time, I have a really good one. My New Year's Resolution this year is to get a job. Whether it's apprenticeship, part-time or full-time, I'm fine with one of them just as long as the job's good and I have something to do. My other New Year's Resolution could be to reduce my laziness, but fuck that shit, I know I'll fail that.
4 - What do I look forward to this year?
I look forward to a lot of things, and what I look forward to the most are my 18th birthday and the new season of Futurama.
Movies
There's the 3 Futurama movies to come out this year that I will definitely want. However, besides them, the only movies that I have some interest in are Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Iron Man. IMO, 2008 won't be so big for movies like 2007 was.
Music
I had the feeling that music in 2008 wouldn't be as good as 2007, but now I think it'll be just as good. There shall be new albums by the following artists:
Iced Earth
Judas Priest
Metallica
Stratovarius
Wintersun
The album I look forward to the most is Wintersun's new album. It should have been out in 2006, but got delayed to 2007 and then it got delayed YET AGAIN, so 2008 better be the final release date. Metallica's new album, yes, I know they've been sucking for years now, but I have some hopes for their new album.
Hopefully there'll be more albums to look forward to later on this year.
Games
There are a lot of games I look forward to, although some of them are on consoles that I don't have yet, which are the PSP and the PS3. Anyway, here's what I look forward to:
-Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Although I don't own a PSP right now, I probably will get one sometime this year.
-LittleBigPlanet - Looks like a really fun Platformer.
-Final Fantasy IV (DS) - I already have the PS1 version, but I would love to get the remake.
-Mario Kart Wii - Not too sure on this one, but it would be nice to get more games for the Wii.
-Metal Gear Solid 4 - Been waiting for this game for 3 years now and I hope it comes out this year.
-Silent Hill V - Perhaps not this year, but it would be great if it came out in 2008.
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl - it might be out in Europe months after America and Japan, but if it comes out in July, that would be a great birthday present.
-Tomb Raider: Underworld - The recent games are awesome and are the best since the first two games, so I've got big hopes for the new Tomb Raider game.
And that's everything about my thoughts on the new year.
Updated: 09/18/08 6:10 PM 20 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!OK, I'm a day late, but I didn't have the time to make a news post about how I've been for Christmas yesterday.
Christmas for me this year has been great. It was a bit different this year than to the other Christmas Days I've had since my sister's boyfriend was with us. Usually, after opening all our presents in the morning, we'd go and see my grandparents, then my mum's brother and if we still had time, then my mum's sister. After that, we'd have Christmas Dinner with my grandparents, my aunt, uncle and his fiancé.
This year, however, we didn't have time to open up ALL our presents. We did go and see my grandparents as usual, but after that, it was back home and we didn't see my mum's siblings that day since one of them was getting ready to go on holiday to Australia today (we saw them a few days before). The other one we didn't have time to see yesterday since my mum was the one making Christmas Dinner this time. Hopefully we'll see them before the new year.
I enjoyed having Christmas Dinner and dessert and after that, me, my sister and her boyfriend had fun playing on the Nintendo Wii that we got this Christmas! :D We (mum and dad joined in to play the WiiSports as well) were up playing on midnight when we decided to watch The Simpsons Movie that I got on DVD for Christmas since out of the 4 DVDs we got, The Simpsons Movie was the only movie that we haven't seen.
So we then decided to watch the movie and about the movie itself, I thought it was OK. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and it was definitely better than the last few seasons of The Simpsons. However, I do have a few complaints about the movie:
1. Because of the amount of CG that was used and the sort of plot the movie had, I felt like I was watching a Futurama movie featuring The Simpsons rather than "The Simpsons Movie".
2. Every part that had Spiderpig/Plopper was a pain to watch, and I'm surprised that Matt Groening considers the Spiderpig joke as the best joke on the movie, when it's the exact opposite of that.
3. Nothing on the movie made me laugh out loud or cry with laughter like Bender's Big Score did, but at least there were some good jokes on the movie.
So overall, it was OK, it had a few weaknesses, but it's the best of The Simpsons in a while. However, I found Bender's Big Score a lot better than The Simpsons Movie.
And that's what happened on Christmas Day for me. One thing, however. If my dad wasn't badly snoring on Christmas Day in the middle of the night where I ended up having to sleep on the floor downstairs in the living room (I couldn't sleep on the sofa since my dad already put the presents on there), this Christmas would have been very close to perfection.
And finally, what I got for Christmas? Here's what I got:
CDs:
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer (got two of the same by mistake, though XP)
Deep Purple - Machine Head
Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman
Rainbow - Long Live Rock 'n' Roll
DVDs:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
The Simpsons Movie
Spiderman 3
Games:
NINTENDO WII!!! :D
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Super Mario Sunshine
Etc.:
Chocolate
Iron Maiden T-Shirt and hoodie (the one I got last Christmas become too small for me)
£30 HMV Voucher
£15 GAME voucher
Chocolate
£10
I hope you all had a great Christmas too! I'll be back making another news post about how my new year has been (and yes, I'm making a new year flash).
Updated: 09/18/08 6:10 PM 7 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!Since Christmas is almost here (only 8 days left now 0__0), I decided to change my pictures and have Christmassy pictures. Yes, you can see BlueHippo on my banner. :D I was going to change them sooner, but I couldn't be bothered and I had my flash to work on. If I did spend some time to make a Christmas banner, I would have added all or most of the characters on my Christmas Flash to it just like on my normal banner.
And about my Christmas flash, yes, I've almost completed it and I've decided to submit them at 7PM this Sunday. And yes, I do mean THEM since I've had to split up my Christmas flash into two parts. I didn't want to do this at all, but it was either that or reduce the frame rate and change EVERYTHING (i.e. all animation on symbols, movie clips and stage) to make it run correctly on 24FPS. Still, I hate whoever thought of putting a frame limit on Flash since this has ruined my idea for my 100th flash. :(
There is a bright side to the separation, however. Since this flash lasts at least 11 minutes long, by splitting them up, whose who wish to watch the whole of it can take a small break in between and to those review and response stat whores, you all get a review AND response count +2. :D And for me, this gives me an extra Flash submission count.
Besides my Christmas flash, there are so many things I am looking forward to, especially seeing my sister and her boyfriend who will be arriving here this Saturday. On the same day, we'll be having Christmas dinner at a local restaurant with my family. And of course, there's Christmas Day to look forward to as well and I can't wait to finally play on the Nintendo Wii (I know I'll be getting it because it was me that managed to buy one). I look forward to seeing people in my family since some of them I only see on Christmas Day/Boxing Day.
I know I'll have a great time and I hope you all will have a Happy holiday as well. I'll let you all know about how I've been this Christmas. :)
Updated: 09/18/08 6:10 PM 10 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this! And I had such a great time down there. Not only because I haven't been to London since 2002, but I was also with my sister and her boyfriend for the whole weekend. :D
On Friday morning, I left home to go to London and I took the coach to get there and back. I didn't really like the coach trips because there wasn't much legroom and there's even less space when someone's next to you. What's worse is that both journeys getting there and back took about 5 hours long. :( On the bright side, the fare was only £17 in total, which was a fair price. However, the next time I go to London, I'll try and get the train.
When I got to London, my sister was waiting for me at the station. After meeting up with her, we went to the flat where she and her boyfriend lives along with 2 other flatmates (1 was away, though), and on our way, we went through the London Underground trains, which are quite awkward to get to your desired location, but you get used to them after a while.
So when we got to the flat, I had a look around the place and was amazed at how big it was. Alright, I wasn't really aware that there were other people living in the flat besides my sister and her boyfriend, but still, the place was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.
We didn't do too much on Friday night. I just went to Sainsbury's with my sister to help her on the shopping and walked back to the flat in the pouring rain. :( We were relived when we got back in the flat since it was nice and warm inside.
Also on Friday night, we were all playing on Team Fortress 2 and this game is a lot of fun! For the first few games, I really sucked ass, but didn't give a shit because I was having so much fun. After playing on it more and more, I got a bit better at the game, but still got owned by the more experienced players.
When I was experimenting with the different classes you could choose, I was more fond of the Scout, the Spy and the Engineer. The Scout I found good to use to run around the place and invade the enemy base or whatever. The Spy I found very useful to sneak in the enemy base and hoped that the enemies wouldn't notice me. On one game, I did so much with the Spy by killing two of the enemies and taking over the last base of theirs. :D And finally, the Engineer I thought was great for defence to build sentry guns that will shoot any enemies nearby, but called whoever destroyed them bastards since it takes time to fully upgrade the sentry gun. XD
And since I was having so much fun on the game, I decided to mess around sometimes, such as committing suicide, which really annoyed someone, hiding in sudden death battles (again, that annoyed some people and even annoyed my sister and her boyfriend, LOL) and someone got annoyed at the amount of Scouts there were on one team since some people find them crap.
I did try to win games and did win a lot of games, despite other players did more than what I did. However, as long as I had fun, I didn't really care who won or lost. We did play more Team Fortress 2 on Saturday and Sunday night for more fun. I loved every part of the game and it would be great if I got this on the PS3 (I'm more of a console guy than a PC guy).
On Saturday, we decided to go to Central London to look around in the shops. The shops we went to are great and seeing London's HMV and Zavvi (aka Virgin Megastore) made me really happy, but damn, those shops are so great, they make my local HMV and Zavvi shops utter shit. The reason is that I saw so many CDs there that I'd never see in Birkenhead, Liverpool, Chester or Manchester. Funny enough, I didn't buy a single CD while I was there. I would have bought something if Christmas wasn't so close.
Those weren't the only shops we went to. We also went to Forbidden Planet and Hamley's. Forbidden Planet in London is great and is as good as the one in Liverpool. Hamley's, however, it was crowded on every floor, everywhere, it took at least an hour for us to get through the place. My sister and her boyfriend decided to get something at Hamley's. My sister bought one of these rubber ducks that she likes, while her boyfriend got a Remote Control UFO that got bashed everywhere by the furniture at their flat. XD
The rest of the time in Central London was spent trying to find the shops we wanted to go to, trying to find a good Subway place to eat in, and of course, those damn Underground trains. We went to all the shops we wanted to go to, except for Fopp that I wanted to go to, but never realised that it wasn't open yet. :(
Later that night, we went to the nearest Nando's restaurant to their flat and we all had a great meal with free refills, even though the order was a bit messed up. Oh well, at least the problem was sorted out. After having our meals, we all went back to the flat and played more of Team Fortress 2.
We didn't do a lot on Sunday. We all woke up at around 1:30PM, me and my sister went to the shops to get stuff for me to have on the coach for Monday and when we got back, we played yet more of Team Fortress 2 until midnight.
Finally, this Monday morning, it was time for me to go. We had a small problem when we were on our way to the coach station. My sister got on one train in the Underground and a second later, the fucking doors were closed, so that pissed me off! Luckily, there's a train once every minute or two, so I got on the next one and met up with my sister on the next station. There were no problems after that.
And now I'm back home and it's good to be back, but I miss my sister already. :( On the bright side, she'll be home for Christmas and New Year, and me and my parents are thinking about going to London sometime in February. :)
That's everything about my awesome weekend in London. Now that I'm back, I'll be back to working on my Christmas flash, and sadly, I get the feeling that I'll miss the deadline. Starting tomorrow, I'll be working on it and I'll do my best to get it done soon.
Also, the Christmas banner rocks! A big thanks to the NG staff that designed it and took the time to make it! :D
(Uploading picture because I want to upload one and because Oddworld rocks!)

I would have waited until Monday to talk about how my time was in London, but since I no longer have the ability to post any news posts on front page, I'm mentioning this now.
Yes, tomorrow, I'll be going to London. I'm only going to be there until Monday morning, however, but when I'm down there, I'll be seeing my sister (who has stayed in London since September when she started university) and her boyfriend. We've planned to do several things such as going shopping, multiplayer on Team Fortress 2 (not played this game yet, but it looks interesting) and perhaps we'll be watching Beowulf at the cinemas, but it depends if they want to see the movie for the second time.
The only problem with getting to London is that the bus journey will take about 5 hours or more depending on traffic (and that's just one way from or to London), but hopefully time will go quickly if I listen to music on my MP3 Player.
In other news, I'm still working on my Christmas flash and recently, I've got most of the voices done. For what I am to record, I only need a few more lines done now. The other voice actors, some have done their lines, while others haven't, but I'm hoping they will have the time to record their lines while I'm away. :)
See you all soon!
(Posting another screenshot from my flash since I want to upload a picture here!)

At last, Casualty has sorted out the Bytesize flash for his site, NG Log. You can also see the flash right here. And yes, one of my flashes is on it, but that's not the reason why I'm promoting it on my news post. I'm mentioning this because I support Casualty's site and I loved all the flashes that are featured on it.
In other news, I've started work on my Christmas flash, which will a sequel to A Bahamut's Christmas Tale and I hope to have it completed no later than 23rd December. So far, I've worked on the animation and graphics for a few scenes. None of the sound recordings for the flash have been done yet, however, but I have already finished the script. :D (Picture below is a screenshot from the first scene)
And finally, the Adolf Hitler: CAI493+D series rocks!
