Bahamut

First news post!

Posted by Bahamut Jul. 29, 2007 @ 12:38 PM EDT

Well, here's my first news post. I would've loved to have said something sooner, but I was away in Cuba and their internet was terrible, so I had to wait until I got back home to actually see the new layout.

So my thoughts on the redesign. I think it's awesome, but there's a few things I don't like about it. Besides some of the current problems, I really don't like the new profile picture size. I prefer the 150 x 150 px size and not this weird 212 x 159 one. Because of that, I can no longer use the profile picture I had before the redesign, so I'll either just make a new picture or put the picture I had on a 212 x 159 px transparent background.

OK, that was the negative thought out of the way. For the positive thoughts, I like what the level system is like now. It has nicely improved with 60 levels and Pimp, the top EXP user not even at the highest level. :O Also, I like most of the level icons there and my favourites from the original 30 are on the 60 levels, so that makes me happy, except for being disappointed that the nunchucks are easier to get and I wish I could have them on this account again. I'm not a big fan of the butcher's knife. :P Oh well, my alts will eventually reach level 27.

Another thing I like is that you will be told if there's been a new review written for your flashes or not, so that will save me A LOT of time going through each of my flashes to see new reviews...That's if it was working properly. Oh well, I know it will be fixed eventually along with other things that aren't working right now. So overall, I really like the redesign and I thought the wait was worth it.

Now that I'm back from holiday, I can go back to working on flashes and there's some ideas I've got, especially a flash that will start using Afro_Stud as the voice actor for himself and my real life friend Pokelord-EX as the voice actor for Graham. The only big problem I've got now is trying to think of a short plot for Clock Day (not the one that's to do with Mario and Sonic) and I know time will quickly fly by from now until Clock Day, so better start thinking now. :P

OK, that's everything I wanted to say about the redesign and a bit about my flashes. For how I was at Cuba, just take a look at my journal at deviantART. :)

No, I am more awesome than Leviathan!

Jul. 29, 2007 | 2:29 PM RupeeClock says:

Cuba eh? This is why I don't like going on holiday, no internet access.

Infact, my mum's on holiday right now whilst I stay home. :3

Jul. 29, 2007 | 3:03 PM Bahamut responds:

Actually, all the other places that I've been to on holiday were fine with internet access. It was just Cuba that had big problems with the internet. Also, it's a lot of fun to stay at home while your parents are away. Great time to play on games all night. :D

Jul. 29, 2007 | 6:47 PM MAYORMCHEESE says:

A December 1980 episode of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo ("Scrappy's Birthday") depicts Scrappy-Doo's birth. Born at St. Bernard's Hospital to Scooby-Doo's sister Ruby-Doo, Scrappy idolizes his uncle Scooby and would often assist Scooby and his friends in solving mysteries. With a highly energetic and brave personality, despite his small size, Scrappy was the opposite of his uncle; Scrappy would usually insist on trying to directly fight the various monsters Scooby and his associates encountered. Related to this, one of Scrappy's catchphrases was, "Lemme at 'em! I'll splat 'em!" Another of Scrappy-Doo's catchphrases is, "Ta nanana ta daaa! (imitating a bugle playing "Charge!") Puppy power!" The character was developed by writer Mark Evanier, who has acknowledged basing his personality largely on that of the Looney Tunes character Henery Hawk. [1]

Awesome!

Jul. 30, 2007 | 3:34 AM Casualty says:

Finally! You're back! I must admit I found it pretty funny when you departed and the redesign was launched a few days later, but then I felt worse for you as I started thinking it was a punishment not to see the new layout with everyone else. But now you're back so that issue is solved! :P

Anyway I'll see you on MSN...

Jul. 30, 2007 | 8:38 AM Bahamut responds:

If the redesign was really slow at first, then I must be lucky to not be here when it came out.

Jul. 30, 2007 | 10:14 AM Coop83 says:

At last, you're back. Imposter X-Naut's started to get a little cocky and slowed his B/P pace in a mocking gesture to you. Stick something large, spiky and painful up his arse and get back in front!

Glad to see that you like the layout :)

Jul. 31, 2007 | 10:29 AM Bahamut responds:

Lucky I have lots of free time during the summer holidays, but I wish I had more free time.
